About Tom

Tom and his wife, Angela, have three children and reside in St. Petersburg, where Tom was born and raised.

He attended public schools in Pinellas County, and attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business – Finance (ROTC scholarship) and a Juris Doctorate with honors from The Florida State University.

Tom has been a member of The Florida Bar for over 24 years and has maintained his own law practice (Ramsberger Law Group, P.A.) since 2005, concentrating in the areas of commercial litigation, commerical transactions, real property law, finance, corporate, and general business transactions. Tom has also handled probate matters, dissolutions of marriage, DOAH hearings, and quasi-judicial hearings, as well as co-counsel for a criminal jury trial.

Tom is  “AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rated” from Martindale-Hubbell - which is a significant rating accomplishment – a testament to the fact that his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence in the categories of legal ability and general ethical standards.*

Tom is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and handles mediations throughout Florida.

Tom is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Stetson University College of Law since 1999.

He has served on the Executive Committee of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, served as Chair of the St. Petersburg Bar Association’s Real Property section, and is a member of many sections of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and member of the Clearwater Bar Association.

Tom is also a Charter Member of the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation.

He is a graduate of Leadership St. Pete; Leadership Pinellas; and Leadership Tampa Bay; and served on the Executive Committee of Leadership Tampa Bay, as well as the Steering Committee for the Pinellas Assembly (2002).

Tom was named the City of St. Petersburg’s “Citizen of the Month” by the St. Petersburg City Council August, 2008. He participated in Florida Boys State, elected Supreme Court Justice 1979. Tom also served on the City of St. Petersburg Charter Review Commission in 2011 and the Pinellas County Assembly in 2000.

Tom is also a long-standing member of the All Children’s Hospital Foundation Board, and a donor and volunteer for CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) in St. Petersburg. Tom has contributed Exceptional Pro-Bono Legal Services for Community Law ProgramTom and his wife are active members of PTA at Pasadena Fundamental Elementary School.
